Survey equipment on an Australian highway corridor with native bushland — environmental assessment fieldwork

Get through NSW environmental approval. Faster.

NSW environmental approvals are a coordination problem disguised as a technical one. Eko runs the whole environmental workstream of your DA. Giving you one contract, one point of contact, one accountable party.

Why NSW approvals get stuck.

A typical mid-scale NSW development needs five to seven different environmental specialists: heritage, ecology, bushfire, arborist, water, contamination, traffic and noise where they apply. Each one writes a document. Each one references the others. When they don't line up, council issues a Request for Information and your project sits while seven consultants pass the document around.

The technical work is rarely the bottleneck. The coordination is. That's where Eko sits. Engineering the water and compliance components ourselves, project-managing the rest through trusted specialists, presenting a unified document set to council, and managing the RFI cycle from end to end.

Note on scope. Our environmental approvals practice is anchored in the NSW planning and biodiversity legislation framework — the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. Queensland's planning system operates under different legislation (Planning Act 2016) and we're honest about not holding ourselves out as Queensland environmental approvals specialists.
